I Need to Rethink My Identity Crisis

Wowee zowee, it's almost been a year since I last cared. After seeing a few small changes already made to WoW and hearing of changes in store, I'm back. After looking at the posts on here it occurred to me: having an "armorless" rogue with BoA extras was like having a lightsaber that can only cut through things weaker than titanium. After some serious* evaluation I've decided to start again, but with some changes this time. New way of doing things:

• Druid
• No armor or other equippables (rings, trinkets, etc.)
• No buying or selling from players or NPCs.**
• Not even going to learn healing spells, or anything that isn't a cat form attack.
• No looting.
• Cat form exclusively.

That last one is the only one really tearing me apart, but it was just too easy on Batty. My plan is to craft my own bags and such, and fund my professions and class skills from quest reward cash exclusively. I'm staying from healing spells because I do want this to be super challenging but I'm also sticking to cat form exclusively just because I started this as a rogue and gave up. Considering not getting mounts or flight form just to stick with staying in cat form 24/7 (except when teleporting, hearthstoning, or dying). One thing that is staying the same is I'm doing this on a PvP server (might as well go all the way, if I'm going all the way).

Though, I wasn't entirely sure I wanted to go back to WoW. So I ended up making a mockup of this character in a trial account. Luckily it turns out you only need level 8 for cat form (I thought it was 20) so that wasn't so bad. I ended up having to leave Mulgore since they wanted me to learn another spell for a quest and decided the Undercity would be the way to go.

Apparently it's Halloween there.

I was even lucky enough to get a Sinister Squashling from my first bag!

Of course my second bag made me realize it wasn't luck.

After finally getting to level 8 I thought up the "no buying or selling" thing. Really adds meaning to the word "rogue" despite this being a druid. I toyed with the idea of only using emotes to communicate but that didn't last long. Fffff I'm tired so I'll just dump the rest of the pictures and call it a night.

It seems bukkits do not go transparent with their ghostly holders.

Decapitated that horseman.

I offer plenty of legroom and two cup holders.

Glad to see I'm not the only weirdo on this server.

UUUUUNNG.

The blog's old title!

*no.

Hardly Worgen

So, as I predicted these daggers are making the starting zone ridiculously easy. How easy?

...maybe a little too easy. But I know things will change. It might be a while, but something tells me when it does change, it'll be very, very abrupt. But, that being said, I think I may run wild with the "zero armor" thing. Just zero armor. Rings, trinkets, so on, as long as they don't add armor, will be OK.

As far as leveling, I've doubled myself to 12 tonight. Easy peasy so far. I like this starting zone a lot, it's clearly made for people who've had other characters. There's even a mailbox right next to where you spawn the first time! Though, I haven't seen a mailbox since and my bag space is really hurting. Trying to hold on to all this ore and managing space for quest loot is becoming more and more difficult. On the plus side, I seem to be the only miner here (I've maxed mining out at 75 (no other trainers) and have even gotten engineering up to 63) and the exp from that is pretty close to just killing a mob! Leaving you on an actual newsworthy note, I have added to my suit quite a bit, as seen in this before and after video:

...luckily for me that has no armor bonus!

Oh, spectacular, the videos don't seem to like Safari at all. At least they seem to work in Firefox!

Hello, world!

People in WoW have been gaining levels in weird ways ever since that pacifist got to level 70 (then 80) without killing anything. I thought I had a genius-level original idea when I decided to level a warlock to 80 without any armor. Of course, it turned out that had already been done by a hunter (oh hey, he's back. He quit before Wrath came out. Joy!) So I stopped around level 25 or so and just had a high level bank alt with no armor. Skip forward about a year and here we are, me starting again with a rogue! Why a rogue? Well, the first thing I noticed about leveling naked in a class that has pet tanks and shoots ranged spells was that it wasn't super difficult (though I'm sure that'd change eventually, you have to admit a ROGUE would actually be getting hit a bit more than a warlock, if said rogue was soloing, which I will be).

I'm afraid I may be half-assing this, though, since I'm using Bind-on-Account daggers, but I've decided since I started like that I might as well go all the way. Also, while my ARMOR is at zero points, I'm not naked:

There is a very good, and very asinine reason for this. You see, when deciding to level a naked Blood Elf warlock, the first thing I did was obviously make it female, because who wants to stare at the back of Napoleon all day? However, as seen below, this same logic doesn't bleed over to the Alliance so well...

Staring at the back of this all day                      versus the back of this

So after a short amount of searching, gathering mats, and bribing a tailor I know, I found a zero armor suit that a level one could wear, and with my now safe eyes, the game could begin!

Of course, the daggers alone are enough to plow through (I'm assuming) the entire starting zone. I got to level six tonight with no difficulty. Probably won't post again until I get out of the starting zone. In the meantime, armor is for wimps.
